Rule 001.

adults only, no minors

We are an 18+ adults-only venue, both IC and OOC. No exceptions.Patrons wishing to book NSFW services must join the Discord and verify their characters.

Rule 002.

chat etiquette

The use of discriminatory language of any kind is grounds for being banned from both the venue and the discord. Don't emote spam; it makes it very hard to follow the chat.

Rule 003.

heavy rp and immersive

We are a heavy-RP and immersive venue: everyone on the floor is in-character at all times. Remaining in-character as much as possible will make the venue more fun for everyone, yourself included. Please hide your weapons while in the venue and avoid brandishing them, which can be seen as aggressive.Please also note that this venue is not spoiler-free. Being current with the main scenario quest is highly recommended.

Rule 004.

staff-only use cases

We use the yellow Looking to Meld tag for NSFW services and the green Looking for Party tag for other (SFW) employees. Additionally, the use of /yell and /shout are restricted to staff only.

Rule 005.

no streaming

We don't allow streaming while in the venue. Those who stream while being in the Pelagio will be banned.

Rule 006.

ic actions have ic consequences

This is not a place to hit high-drama story beats or ERP in public: keep the open RP chill and SFW. If your scene is getting too intense, you may be asked to take it to party chat. (As a good rule of thumb, sharing a kiss is fine, but once hands get involved, it's time to go private.) If a character starts getting aggressive, they will be asked to leave.

Learning how to run a legitimate business has tested the patience of the ex-privateers, but they have managed to avoid attracting any undue attention from the Yellowjackets...

Many venues offer the chance to do both SFW and NSFW roleplay; in this respect the Pelagio is similar, although we provide a  fully immersive  venue. What does immersive mean? To us, it means open RP, instead of RP that takes place only in party chat or in tells. Characters are lore-compliant or lore-adjacent—or at least they are as far as interacting in a bar goes. Your character's actions have consequences (both good and bad), and visible weapons are considered present for the shared canon space.Our Discord community is vibrant, queer, and centered in the discussion of FFXIV's lore and the craft of writing. We offer daily character development prompts, longform writing prompts, and postings for character studies.We're a good fit for roleplayers who are looking for an established, craft-centered community that treats all kinds of roleplay with respect, including erotic roleplay.

Special Events

The Pelagio has three kinds of venue openings: Normal, Themed, and Special. Check our Discord for what's coming up!Normal openings are  just like any other venue opening:  your character can come into the venue and treat it like any nightlife spot. The bar will be offering our usual menu of drinks and bar food. Our hosts and courtesans will be available to patrons for chatting or erotic services. Couples or groups can come grab a few drinks and relax in our lounge.Themed openings are like normal openings, but they include  special RP prompts  which we list in advance in our Discord server. Examples of special RP prompts include First Frost, where your characters can come in and complain about the cold. Additional themed openings have included prompts that encouraged discussion about Tuliyollal (to lead into the launch of Dawntrail), Snowfall, and the first day of Spring. These themes are intended to be easy for anyone to pick up with little-to-no preparation beforehand, and provide a roleplay topic to break the ice.Special openings are special events, and usually require preparation beforehand. Examples of special openings are  events like masquerades, holiday parties and socials, and our fall bonfire.  These openings may be held outside of the Pelagio on our plot, on the beach in our ward, or as part of open world RP. Themed glams are encouraged; we will likely offer special drinks and food to enhance the experience.

Services

Although you can chat with anyone on our staff, a one-on-one interaction with our hospitality staff is bespoke, tailored to your character. Those who offer paid companionship but not NSFW services are called hosts. Those that offer paid NSFW services are called courtesans.You can use your time to chat with one of our  hosts . Their varied walks of life are a deep well for them to draw on to amuse, enlighten, and entertain. That's not to say you can't just have a drink and a good flirt if you want. For time in a private room for more adult activities, our  courtesans  would be delighted to oblige. The rate each staff member charges is listed in our Discord server.At the bar, you'll be treated to our charming bartenders from across the star. Aside from our menu,  they offer unlisted signature drinks that are theirs alone.  They can recommend a drink or companionship for the evening, based on information you give them. If you'd like, you can buy body shots, and seek a staff member to drink with for an additional fee.And sometimes, as the stars emerge at night, so too does our fortune teller. Offering a  unique style of augury  from the Steppe in a purpose-built private room, Luno will scry events unseen to offer guidance on multiple matters of the heart, money, and self-fulfillment. Seek his services for a glimpse of the future that you won't soon forget.

The fountain in front of the Pelagio features the Lord of the Whorl, Leviathan. Although there's an occasional sniff of trouble around using the water primal as a mascot—folks haven't forgotten the crimes of his tempered followers—there is a certain appeal to the primal frozen in the act of leaping from the water.

The interior is dark and quiet except for the hushed laughter and the ringing of ice in cocktail glasses upstairs. The downstairs parlor is more secluded and the babble of the entryway fountain is enough to cover all but the most spirited discussions.

Nestled beneath the fallen timbers of a saltgoing vessel is the bar. Join our engaging bar staff for strong drinks and tasty nibbles—they can make suggestions for any palate or predilection.

The Pelagio has a number of rooms reserved for use by our courtesans and hosts as they provide services. These include a private lounge for more intimate conversations as well as accommodations for clients seeking erotic services.  A seasonal gpose booth  may be open for guests to use at their convenience.
